Shotokan911 provides NRA certified courses, including the training required to obtain your Michigan Concealed Pistol License, also known as a CCW Permit.

Carry Concealed Weapon/Personal Protection in the Home Course
This course satisfies all requirements for the Carry Concealed Pistol application.  Included is 5 hours of classroom instruction where you will be taught home safety tips, legal updates, identify various handguns, safely handling a firearm, proper stance and shooting instruction.  You will also have up to three hours on a gun range where you will complete a course of fire that satisfies the Shotokan911 requirements for your license application.

If you require a firearm, you may rent one from the firing range on the day of the class, but please let us know this in advance.

Classes are taught in state of the art training centers in and around Macomb and the Tri-County area. 

Class cost is $150.00 and typically includes range fees and all materials.  Some ranges that Shotokan911 uses require you to purchase ammunition from the range (at a reduced Shotokan911 price). 

Class is (8) Hours
This class is all-inclusive with no need to travel to a separate location for the firing portion of the class.  Classes are 8 hours in length, and offered in two ways:  one 8 hour class, or (2) 4 hour evening classes. 


Basic Handgun
Learn how to properly, accurately, and safely fire a handgun.  Classroom and firing range fees included.  Use your handgun, or rent one from us. 
Class is (3) Hours
Cost is $100.00 per person

Tactical Handgun
Learn to draw a firearm from a holster, shoot from a position of standing, kneeling, on the move, lowlight conditions, and behind cover and concealment. 
Class is (3) Hours
Cost is $100.00 per person


Long Gun Instruction - including rifle and shotgun
Feel comfortable firing from different positions, at close and long ranges. 
Class is (3) Hours
Cost is $100.00 per person


Tactical Long Gun Instruction - including rifle and shotgun
Learn to fire your rifle or shotgun in a combat environment.  You will be instructed in malfunction drills, alternate firing positions, shooting while moving, low light conditions and reloading drills.
Class is (3) Hours
Cost is $100.00 per person



Special Women's ONLY Firearm Class
Don't feel comfortable in a range with men?  Take this all female class with novice to experienced shooters.  Learn how to fire a handgun in the comfortable setting of knowledgeable instructors and a safe atmosphere. The completion of the class will qualify the user to apply for a Carry Concealed Weapon Pistol License. 
Class is (8) Hours
Cost is $150.00 per person



Women's Ultimate Boot Camp
Take the Self Defense Boot camp and combine it with a basic handgun seminar for the ultimate in safety.  This 12 hour block of Instruction will cover all material from the best hands on self defense techniques, to excellent instruction on the firing line.  Call or contact for pricing on this special event.



Weapon Retention and Disarming Techniques
You will be taught simple yet effective techniques for disarming handguns, and long guns from the front and rear.  You will also be taught edge weapon disarming and strikes that have the most desirable effect.  The class is for both men and women.
Class is (3) Hours
Cost is $100.00 per person
